ChangeVue provides a lightning fast,
setup in minutes way of adding
version control to your environment.
No matter whether you work alone, or
in a small team, ChangeVue can adapt
to your needs.
Using version control is an
indispensable safety net for any
professional developer, regardless of
programming language or file size.
Not only does version control provide
an inherent backup mechanism by
storing versions of any file you add
to a repository, it also provides an
effective means of coordinating who
works on what in a team.
Version control is not limited to
developers. System and network
administrators should use version
control to manage their library of
production scripts. From the single
administrator who needs a backup and
versioning solution to a team that
wants change control so that there's
no confusion about who has the latest
version, ChangeVue is an easy to use
solution.
Any professional software developer
can tell stories of how a version
control solution has changed their
lives. But all of these solutions
have one thing in common: they're
typically too complicated for an
individual developer or
administrator, or even for a small
workgroup, that just wants basic
version control capabilities without
having to deploy a SQL Server
instance or other complex components.
That's where SAPIEN's ChangeVue comes
in: it's a simplified version control
system with very few pre-requisites.
It integrates directly with
PrimalScript, Visual Studio, as well
as any other SourceSafe compatible
editor, or can be used entirely on
its own. It follows the basic model
of check-in / check-out, and
automatically retains old versions of
checked-in files and allows you to
review and retrieve older versions at
any time.
